Our Adventure

Est. 2017 in RC, CA

Coming to KPT, TEN

Thin Line Opened December 2017, as a neighborhood small batch Nano Brewery In Rancho Cordova, CA. We dedicated TL to our community and honoring ALL First Responders and Military.

We started as a tiny brewery happily being the smallest brewery taproom in NorCal brewing on a 1BBL brewhouse (double and sometimes triple batching) and we grew to a 3 1/2 BBL brewhouse brewing 7BBL runs.  But still pretty much the smallest there was.  We opened in cash and though blood sweat and tears grew organically.  A tiny brewery that was run by our total team of 2. Sometimes 2 1/2 of us.

In March of 2022, we had been given an opportunity... Our house lease was ending, our brewery lease was ending and our building was being sold.  Our kids have grown. All within about a months time. So all of the stars aligned to allow us to make a clean break and move.  In less than 72 hours we had given notice on the Brewery and bought a house in Tennessee!  We figured it was now or never.

We are West Coast Rejects.  We moved to NE TN in June of 2022 and took time to settle and take a breather.  It didn't take long to miss being involved in our community and the craft beer industry.  We have spent time at the breweries in the Tri-Cities area and in Knoxville. We've jumped into planning and ready to do it all again...but this time we're going BIG.  We can't wait to be bringing our style to Kingsport.  Left Coast Style without the Left Coast Crazy.

Scott: He was in Law Enforcement for just shy of 30 years.  He had been home brewing on and off for many years and just loved geeking out on the science and process.  He retired at the end of 2020. And now as our full time Brewer, and literally everything else, he's working even harder and longer hours than before. His favorite part of the job is drinking beer and talking with YOU.

Cory: Beertender, Flavor Concoction Creator, Artistic Science Consultant - All of that good stuff. Oh, and all of the un-fun stuff too. I have had many different jobs in my life, but have always thrived working in the service industry.  I owned a little Coffee Catering business prior to the brewery, so it was a pretty easy transition. We do it ALL OURSELVES, but we do get by with a little help from our friends and fam from time to time.

Living as a First Responder Family, we see the humans BEHIND the badges on a daily basis. We understand how hard it can be.  And so do our vast amounts of civilian customers.  We have family that are Veterans, Retired Fire and LE.  It's just who we are, it's in our blood.

We love what we do, and practically live here so it's become our home.  Come on over, enjoy a beer and hang with us!
